I tried one with some practice yarn, and it came out beautifully! I'll definintly be making these for friends and family. "Cast on 30 then knit one row" then, just below that, it says "row 1, knit." I am not sure if I should cast on then knit two rows or cast on then knit one row and move on to the second row which is purl. Any help would be greatly appreciated! And, most of all, thank you for the terrific free pattern!!! The cuffs look so cute...<br />J.Minkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06398789130332995820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29541279.post-1161316485590012022006-10-19T20:54:00.000-07:002006-10-19T20:54:00.000-07:00Thanks for sharing your pattern! Well, she's not in the queue this year, unfortunately. So I got out "The Knit Stitch" and showed her the garter stitch poncho and she wants to make it herself, yay!! Of course we'll see if it turns out to be true. But some yarn shopping is going to happen for that. I don't ever buy bulky yarns and she doesn't want my violet sale merino, bummer (not)!!
